So I’m back today (finally) after a long break to talk about a new skincare brand I’ve been using over the past 2 months. I discovered this brand by complete chance, when they had a collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar and were giving away all the products listed down below, for free, along with a 12-month subscription to Harper’s Bazaar magazine for only $48! I jumped at the great deal and decided to do a review on all the products I received.
When I first opened all the products, I honestly did not have high expectations because I’ve never heard of the brand before. After using the ‘My daily dose’ serum however, I was shocked and went to search for the company website online. To my pleasant surprise, I found out it was a local company and the first ever Singaporean company to be stocked in Sephora! To my even greater surprise, the serum original price was $98 and the other items were not cheap as well (prices stated below). I’m just really glad I managed to get them as gifts. Also, I was entered into a lucky draw for signing up and actually won a red light optimizer voyage which you can view and read about here. I haven’t used it long or consistently enough to talk about it yet, but so far I’m really liking it as well.
MY DAILY DOSE- ILLUMINATE & BRIGHTEN ($98)
Vitamin A- stimulate the skin’s renewal process and reverse the damaging effects of time and pollution, improving skin tone and appearance of dark eye circles.
Chlorella Extract– tackles skin dullness, reduces the appearance of pigmentation and evens skin tone for clearer, brighter skin.
Hyaluronic Acid– penetrates the skin deeply for hydrated, smooth and supple skin.
Skin Inc is famous for their custom serums where you can choose 3 extracts, and get them blended into your own personal serum to target your specific skincare needs. The ‘my daily dose; serum is a pre-blended serum that consists of Vitamin A, Chlorella Extract and Hyaluronic acid. It’s meant to brighten the skin and leave it feeling soft and looking fresh. I must say that I was absolutely floored by this product and am so sad that I’m almost at the end of it already. I could notice the difference after using it and felt like my skin looked so much healthier and felt so much softer. Even my mum said my skin was looking good! It also left my skin feeling calm and soothed when I felt an outbreak coming along. I can see why it is so highly loved and raved about.
DEWY IN A FLASH ($39)
Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Pure Revival Peel
Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask
To be honest, I didn’t have much time to try these products and used them only once or twice. I will say that I enjoyed the Pure revival peel and feeling all the dead skin fall off was very satisfying. The sleeping mask however, was pretty underwhelming. I brought it over to the US with me on holiday and thought it would deeply hydrate my skin especially since the weather there was so dry. However, I felt it lacked in moisture and did not leave my skin feeling hydrated.
MUlTI-MASKING BENTO SET- MASK TO PERFECTION ($48 for a box of 3 sets)
SOOTHE- N- PURIFY- BLACK GOLD MASK
GET GLOWIN- PLATINUM MASK
LINES BE-GONE- ROSE GOLD
I had a hard time with these masks and could not quite figure them out. Each mask comes in two pieces, a top and a bottom which I didn’t like because it was hard to keep them both on your face. I also did not see any immediate results from using the mask and did not think my skin looked any different. It could be because these masks are meant for more mature skin but I just felt like the price was too steep for what it was. I personally would not recommend this product, but if you have more mature skin and want to try it out then do let me know how it goes for you!
As a whole, I have become a fan of this brand and am so proud that a local skincare brand has established themselves so well and even made it to Sephora! I would highly recommend the serums which they are most popular and high-raved about for. The optimizer voyage light is pretty famous too and so far I like it though I can’t give a proper review just yet. The other products however, are not really worth the steep price to me and I would give them a miss.
If you are a SkinInc lover, do let me know and tell me what are some of your favourite products! I would love to know and I hope you found this review useful. Have a great week ahead and happy shopping! x
