An outstanding cafe you’re sure to notice when walking past, Kone serves frozen yogurt of different flavours, in their signature pink cup with a grand presentation to match. With it’s exterior completely painted in a bright luminous pink shade, this shop’s determined not to be missed. Indeed it isn’t and we felt the need to venture in to check it out and see what is has to offer.
The interior of the cafe is truly goals, though I don’t think it matched the frozen yoghurt theme that well. On the second story, an area is sectioned off displaying clothes, caps and other furniture that are totally interior design inspiration.
To me however, it seemed a little unrelated to the fact that it was a frozen yogurt dessert store and I couldn’t quite understand the link or purpose for such displays.
The vanilla crumble (RM 14) was underwhelming and nothing spectacular. I’d give them credits for the smoke emerging from the dry ice at the bottom of the cup, which makes the yogurt photo worthy and more instagram-able. However, don’t be deceived by the size as the yogurt is actually put into a small yami-yogurt sized cup, before being placed in the bigger pink Kone cup (pictured above) with dry ice and water at the bottom. I’d say visit this cafe once for a try, and that’d be good enough. Don’t think I’ll be returning for more anytime soon.
