You are nineteen.
On your birthday this year, you received a letter from your parents. In it reads ‘Strength to try anything, Talent to succeed, Courage to fail, Wisdom to learn and Resilience to bounce back even stronger. These are the things that make you who you are.’
Though you may not feel like this is you right now and there are days you feel small, remember these words to keep you going. You are stronger and tougher than you think you are. Know that just because there are nights you breakdown and cry yourself to sleep, does not mean you are weak and pathetic. It just means you’re trying and struggling, which is better than not trying at all. You have already won half the battle.
Remember that God will never give you more than you can handle. You never walk alone.
